Movin' On

In February we heard about a house that was going to go on the market in an area we had interest in. We had been looking at houses but never seemed to find something that would work. Our requirements included a garage, master bath, quiet street, preferably a rambler, walking distance to school, backyard for playing ball, neighbors with kids, and much more. I managed to have Alan's brother get the number of a guy working on a house. I called and he said he was listing it that night. I asked him if we could go through it before he did. He said if we came right then. I ran out to it with my Mom and knew it was the one within 5 minutes of entering it.

I called Alan at work and he went over to see it also. We wrote an offer that night and they accepted the offer the next day. We closed the middle of March. We made a few changes to the house. There was a formal dining off the kitchen but we put slate in and had lockers built so it is now an office/ mud room. We did new carpet and base boards in the three rooms upstairs. Finally, we had the master bath completely remodeled. Well, we are still having it remodeled. It is taking FOREVER!!!!! It better be done next week.

We started C in the new school before we moved. He cried for three days before. Then, he had a smile on his face as his teacher showed him around the classroom and as I picked him up his first day. HE LOVES IT! Feewwwww! I was very worried about him. But, he surprised me, once again!!!!!!

We moved Saturday April 16th and love it. Our neighbors are so kind. One neighbor brought dinner for the next night and one brought breakfast for the morning. The ward did not wait very long to have us meet the bishop. In fact, I received a calling before we even made it to church the next morning.
I am now Secretary in the Primary Presidency. I am excited to be with the boys and meet all the kids in the ward.

We are still unpacking and will probably be for quite some time. I guess that is how it goes. I really do feel great where we are and enjoy being so close to so many things. I also like the sidewalks!

We will miss our cute house on Monarch. There were sooooo many memories created there. It is a GREAT house and we grew in many ways as a family there. But, we are also excited to create new memories in our new home.

It has been a stressful month and a half but I am ready to get settled and back into a routine in our new home.
