Happy Father's Day

I can not believe it is the middle of June. Happy Father's Day to my honey. I love you and hope you know what a wonderful Dad you are to your little boys. They adore you. Max smiles every time he sees you. Today Carden told us "It is not Father's Day. It is Daddy's Day.
Max is 5 months 1 day old today. I gave him some sweet potatoes this morning and he did not like them very much. I was surprised because he loved rice cereal after the second bite and could not get enough. He really did not eat much of the potatoes and I think it may take some getting used to.
Last week Carden came and told me Max was wearing a football helmet. I ran to see what he had done to Max. Carden had placed his work hat on him. Picture Perfect.

Carden has his lower molars half way through and it has been rough. Sleepless nights, a runny nose, fevers, a horrible cough, and some grumpy moments. From both Carden and myself!Yesterday I said something in a very stern voice and he responded "Mom, that absolutely hurt my heart when you talked like that!" It made me think about how I was speaking to him and I must admit I immediately apologized. His vocabulary is amazing. He cracks me up every day. Alan took this picture of him before we once again attempted to cut his hair. It is very short now but still manages to stick straight up.

Isn't summer time wonderful? We love it and hope to spend more days on morning walks, at the pool, park, and just playing in our backyard at "Shooter's Park".

Good Bye May. Hello June!

We had a great time last weekend. I took Carden up to ride Thomas the Train in Heber on Thursday. He had a great time. It was a simple ride but his first train experience.

On Friday we went to the Bees game and sat on the lawn. Carden ate peanuts and then ran around on the grass while Alan played with Max. They had some awesome fireworks and the weather was beautiful.

Saturday morning we went to the Pohlmans' cabin. It is amazing. They have spent seven years building it and have done a wonderful job. It looks great! Carden and Alan rode the ATV's and looked for moose, beaver, elk, and a stinky skunk. We saw deer on the drive home and Alan and I were so excited. We looked back to see Carden's face and he was sound asleep. He was exhausted.

Monday morning we went up to Ruth's Diner for brunch. We love the hot wings there. We ended up eating hot wings, pancakes, and waffles. Sounds yummy? Carden loves hot wings and can handle spicy food better than I can and I like it spicy.

On the drive up to Ruth's Diner we were amazed at how many cars were parking for the zoo. We even said "Who goes to the zoo on Memorial Day?" People were parking up the canyon. It was nuts. Well, where did we end up on the way home? The zoo. It was packed but we had a good time. There is a baby orangutan there and I am just in love with her. She is so cute. Almost as cute as Max. He is our little trooper and just comes along for the ride. Usually with many smiles, big blue eyes, and a very heavy carseat.
